Prehistory Camp
Prehistory Camp is a 5-day crash course that takes kids from the Big Bang all the way to early humans and cave art, the same journey covered in the full Stardust to Storytellers Prehistory course, condensed into one focused week. It’s built for families who want their kids caught up and ready for Ancients without doing the full year-long course.
Each day moves through a stretch of the story: how the universe and Earth formed, how life began and evolved, the age of dinosaurs, and finally the rise of early humans, tools, fire, and the first cave art. By the end of the week, kids have the big picture they need before ancient history starts making sense.
Choose the format that works for your family:
Live Camp: join live sessions Monday through Friday with other kids, ask questions in real time, and do the activities together as a group.
September 7th – 11th @ 11am
Only $50 for the week! If you can’t attend everyday, you can always watch the self paced.
Self-Paced Camp: work through the same 5 days of lessons and activities on your own schedule, whenever it fits your week.
Day 1: Where It All Began
Your learner starts at the very beginning, literally. The Big Bang, the first stars, our galaxy, and the force of gravity that holds it all together, ending with the formation of Earth itself.
Day 2: A Planet Comes to Life
Learners explore how Earth got its rocks, its shifting continents, its water, and its air, then discover the moment the very first living things appeared.
Day 3: Life Takes Off
This is the day things get exciting. Learners see how life became more complex and then exploded into thousands of different forms almost overnight, before making its first move onto dry land.
Day 4: The Age of Dinosaurs
The part most learners already love. From the rise of the dinosaurs through their peak to the disaster that wiped them out, this day covers the full dinosaur story.
Day 5: Becoming Human
The camp wraps up with mammals, early primates, and the first humans, following them through tools, fire, migration, and cave art, right up to the doorstep of ancient history. This is exactly where Ancients begins.
By the end of the week, your learner has walked the entire path from the Big Bang to the first humans and is ready to start Ancients with real context instead of jumping in cold.
